Virgin Australia has claimed it has delivered on its promise to “put the magic back into flying” as it unveiled a major new marketing campaign to showcase its evolution.

Chief customer officer Mark Hassell said the S’Wonderful campaign, launched this weekend in partnership with Clemenger BBDO Sydney, had selected music and visuals which he claimed captured the “modern, stylish vibrancy” of the airline.

“When we launched the new Virgin Australia brand and identity last year, we made a promise to put the magic back into flying. This campaign highlights how we have delivered on that promise,” he said.

“We have completely overhauled the customer experience, transforming the look and feel of travelling with Virgin Australia both in the air and on the ground.”

However, Hassell highlighted Virgin’s people, many of whom featured in the 60-second TV commercial, as the “real heroes” of the TVC.

“They are our greatest asset and their willingness to go above and beyond for our customers sets us apart from other airlines,” he said.

The campaign will include digital, television, broadcast and outdoor elements.
