German Travel Mart finishes on a high
By admin

The 40th German Travel Mart (GTM) of the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) in Bremen and Bremerhaven recently drew to a close, with organisers reporting an excellent success rate.

In total, 601 international trade attendees and journalists from 43 countries joined 340 German suppliers in the biggest B2B platform for Destination Germany.

This year, Australia’s representatives came from Flight Centre, Holidays on Location, Qantas, Viva! Holidays and Scenic Tours.

Hosting this year’s event year were the GTM Bremer Touristik-Zentrale, Society for Marketing and Service mbH and Erlebnis Bremerhaven, Society for Marketing, Tourism and Events mbH.

The two-day workshop had participants praising the professional organisation of the event, while the two evening events in the concert hall Die Glocke and the Havenwelten Bremerhaven were highlights for the guests.

A quick survey done by the GNTB following the event indicated that 96 per cent of the participants were satisfied with the GTM 2014, with the same number confirming their wish to take part in GTM 2015.

Already, 83% of next year’s guests have been reserved.

The 41st GTM will be held between April 26 and 28 next year, in the two cities of Erfurt and Weimar.
