Tie-up to boost competition: Virgin
By admin

Virgin Australia has welcomed the competition regulator’s draft decision to approve its alliance with Skywest, claiming it will increase competition in the corporate market.

Group executive of alliances, network and yield Merren McArthur said the tie-up was an “important part” of the airline’s corporate strategy.
“The alliance will allow us to offer corporate customers a comprehensive travel package integrating Skywest’s charter services with Virgin Australia’s domestic network,” she said.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has invited further submissions before it makes its final ruling.
