Tiger Australia has reported huge hikes in passenger numbers, capacity and revenue kilometres as the carrier continues to rebuild its network.

Operating figures show carryings soared 128% to 258,000 in December while capacity climbed 95%.

Revenue passenger kilometres shot up nine fold to 268 million. But loads factor slipped two percentage points to 79%.

For the 12 months to December, passenger numbers grew 6% to 2.1 million, RPKs rose 11% and capacity increased 14%.
