A certain je ne sais quoi! – Back-Roads grows French tours by 35%
Edited by Travel Weekly

Small group touring expert Back-Roads Touring has achieved a  35 per cent year-on-year growth in bookings on its tours to France.

The award-winning operator has seen a huge increase in interest in France compared to 2023, which has resulted in a 60 per cent increase in the number of French tours departing in 2025.

Back-Roads tours to France currently boast an average Feefo rating of 4.5 stars. La Belle France, which voyages from France’s dramatic northern shores through château-sprinkled countryside, centuries-old villages and World War II sites, has seen the biggest increase in seats sold, growing by 97 per cent year on year. Provence and the French Riviera follows closely behind with an 89 per cent increase in seats sold.

Back-Roads Touring’s hero tour Paris to Nice through Vineyards and Mountains has been enhanced and extended for 2025 to allow extra time to explore new locations such as Gorges du Verdon, as well as new included experiences like a cable car ride to view Mont Blanc in Chamonix.

Anna Fawcett, general manager of APAC for Back-Roads Touring said: “The Olympics Games Paris 2024 certainly put Paris, and France as a whole, on the global stage and we are really seeing the Olympic effect. We have had so much interest in our off-the-beaten track trips to France that we have increased capacity to meet the expected demand for next year. Our clients can still take advantage of huge savings in our Big Promo campaign, which is running until 13 November 2024, offering savings of $250 per person. Now really is the ideal time to book the best deal to France in 2025.”

For a limited time only, travel agents can secure considerable discounts for their clients on all small group tours of the UK and Europe in 2025. BIG Promo discounts can also be combined with two other Back-Roads Touring loyalty discounts – the Past Passenger discount and the Multi-Trip discount – for even larger savings.

Each of Back-Roads Touring’s include a local Tour Leaders who is dedicated to offering clients deep cultural immersion by showing them all the unique traditions and experiences within their chosen destination. For further information on Back-Roads Touring, visit www.backroadtouring.com
