    Kazakhstan’s flag carrier, Air Astana, has received a host of awards at the 2024 World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Exhibition (WTCE) in Hamburg.

    The global event for inflight catering, onboard services, and passenger comfort held last 28-30 May brought together industry leaders to showcase the latest innovations and standers in passenger experience.

    Air Astana won multiple awards, spread across the Onboard Hospitality, TravelPlus Airline Amenity, and PAX International Readership categories.

    These included:

    • Best for economy/LCC amenities (winner)
    • Best for service equipment and crew (highly commended)
    • Best for young travellers (highly commended)

    They also excelled in PAX International Readership awards in:

    • Outstanding food service by a carrier
    • economy class amenity kit
    • children’s amenity kit

    TravelPlus Airline Amenity awards:

    • Gold award for baby/infant bag
    • Gold award for economy class kit

    For the first time in its history Air Astana received Prestigious Five Star Rating for Passenger Amenities, which represents a global benchmark of Airline Excellence in Onboard Passenger Amenities. Previously Air Astana received TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards seven times in various years since 2010.

    “These highly regarded awards are a testament to Air Astana’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the passenger experience through innovative and high-quality onboard services. We remain committed to high standards in inflight hospitality,” Air Astana Inflight Services vice president Elena Obukhova said.
