Airbnb glitch prevents 23,000 Aussie hosts from getting paid

A glitch in Airbnb’s system has prevented some Aussie hosts from receiving their payouts for almost a week.

According to 10 Daily, around 23,000 hosts received an email saying there was a problem with their bank details and they needed to be added again.

An Airbnb spokesperson said the company is aware of a payout “hiccup” impacting some of their hosts in Australia and have been working to remedy it.

“We apologise for any inconvenience and want our hosts to know they’ll be receiving a note from us shortly with instructions for a quick and easy fix,” the spokesperson said,

“Once hosts reenter their bank account details and address, the payments will go out as usual and they won’t have any further delays.”
