Aman has announced Aman Residences, Amanjena, a limited collection of exceptional private homes set within the palatial grounds of the renowned property just outside Marrakech.

A rose-hued oasis designed by Ed Tuttle, Amanjena has drawn guests seeking peace and seclusion since its opening in 2000 and now offers residences for the first time. Providing an abundance of space and privacy, while being less than 20-minutes from Marrakech Menara Airport and the UNESCO-protected walls of the fabled Red City, the addition of Aman Residences provides a unique opportunity to own a home in one of the most beautiful corners of the world. Managed by Amanjena, each residence will benefit from the resort’s unparalleled levels of service, as well as offering exclusive access the Aman community.

Resting within lush gardens, shaded by olive groves and palms, the three- to six-bedroom villas are elegantly and harmoniously designed, staying true to the brand’s ethos. The development of each residence has been considered with the upmost consideration for its surrounds, drawing inspiration from traditional Moorish architecture and focused on authentic handcrafted details. A dusky design palette features accents of lime-washed oak, stone and patinated bronze, which complement honed travertine tiles and Tadelakt plaster walls, while the interplay of light and shadow created by floating screens evokes the enduring mystery of North Africa.

Ideally suited to Morocco’s balmy climes, indoor spaces will flow seamlessly onto terraces and roof gardens via pools and courtyards, blurring the lines between inside and out, and claiming awe-inspiring views of rolling fairways of Amelkis Championship Golf Course or the High Atlas Mountains. Owners will be able choose from three villa layouts, ranging from 1,530sqm to 2,260sqm in size, all with private gardens, swimming pools and staff accommodation.

“Aman Residences, Amanjena will exemplify the brand’s DNA,” Aman Group project chairman and CEO, Vlad Doronin, said.

“Defined by space, privacy, intuitive service, world-class amenities and an exceptional location, each residence offers an exclusive opportunity to make the Aman way of life a permanent reality. Set in one of the most spectacular corners of the world, these private homes illustrate Aman’s commitment to the destination, offering our loyal followers an invitation-only chance to own at one of our most iconic sanctuaries.”

Aman began its journey into branded residences in 1988 at Amanpuri, setting a new benchmark for fully serviced living. Since then, Aman has refined and expanded this concept, offering an exclusive blend of urban and resort residences in some of the world’s most remarkable locations. Today, Aman’s collection spans 13 branded residence destinations, with a robust pipeline of upcoming projects underway in iconic locations such as Beverly Hills, the Maldives, Dubai as well as at existing properties including Amankila and Amanjiwo, Indonesia and Amangiri, Utah.

Aman Residences, Amanjena is a project co-owned with O Capital Group, a leading and renowned Moroccan company with African foundations and international reach. In 2000, Othman Benjelloun, Chairman of O Capital Group, partnered with Aman to build one of the architectural jewels of Morocco and the continent.  Aman Residences, Amanjena will be another opportunity for Benjelloun to bring Moroccan charm, culture and architectural heritage to the forefront, in collaboration with Aman.
