APT adds fourth ship to Travelmarvel fleet in Europe to meet demand
Edited by Travel Weekly

The Australian family-owned APT Travel Group is expanding its Travelmarvel fleet in Europe to meet growing demand, adding a sister ship to the existing fleet of three contemporary vessels.

The company said its significant investment is in response to the positive feedback it has already received to its existing Travelmarvel fleet of three ships which offer 91 staterooms over three decks with a maximum capacity of 182 passengers.

“In 2026, a new ship will join the state-of-the-art Travelmarvel fleet, serving as a sister ship to the contemporary vessels Travelmarvel Polaris, Capella and Vega,” the group said in a statement.

“The new ship will navigate the picturesque European waterways of the Rhine, Main and Danube, offering guests unparalleled travel experiences.”

In addition to the European ventures, the group is also expanding its reach in Egypt with plans underway for a new vessel. Further details will be revealed in the coming months.

“These investments underscore APT Travel Group’s near 100-year pioneering spirit and commitment to innovation, continuing to meet the demands of our valued guests across diverse destinations,” the group says.

The announcement comes on the back of the group revealing at an event at the Park Hyatt hotel in Sydney last week that it is currently constructing a world-first in cruising.

APT’s revealed its soon-to-launch European river ships will feature a state-of-the-art hydraulics system that will raise an entire restaurant and bar up to meet an expansive open sun deck while the ships are docked.
