Edited by Travel Weekly

APT Luxury Travel are thrilled to announce the launch of their 2025 and 2026 program, featuring a new itinerary and more departures than ever.

Guests can now extend their journey with the 4-day Grootbos Private Nature Reserve Extension, available as an addition to APT’s Contrasts of Africa and Essence of Southern Africa tours. The extension allows travellers to indulge in an array of activities that include a stroll through a Milkwood Forest, a horse ride, and a 4WD botanical safari with price starting at $5,495 per person.

The new itineraries also feature the 24-day Contrasts of Africa tour that includes 23 nights in hand-picked accommodations, 55 meals, and all internal flights. Highlights of the adventure include a guided cultural walking tour through Stellenbosch, a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, and a visit to Kilimatembo school in a local village. Prices for this itinerary begin at $35,495 per person, twin share, with an early payment discount of up to $3,000 per pair.

Guests can also discover Zambia and South Africa on the 13-day Essence of Southern Africa at $16,495 per person, twin share, with an early payment discount of up to $1,400 per pair. The tour takes travellers on a cultural walking tour through Stellenbosch and game drives through Kruger National Park with a culturally rich boma dinner.

“On the back of our sold-out 2024 season, we’ve increased departures and are expecting 2025 and 2026 to be just as popular—and you can bet we’ll ensure our guests have the ultimate African safari. We visit exquisite accommodation with luxurious stays in cities and towns, and dreamy lodges in the heart of some of Africa’s best national parks,” APT product manager for Africa, Kelly D’Aucout, said.

“The locations we explore captivate the heart and soul. As well as the Big Five, exhilarating game drives allow guests to spot a diversity of incredible animals, including a variety of birdlife and the Little Five. In eastern Africa, travelling aboard 4WD in small groups results in our guests having a deeper immersion amid the phenomenal landscapes.

“The Signature Experiences in each of the stunning regions are hand-selected to delve into its culture and heritage.”
