Atlas Ocean Voyages has released a new package for its President’s Cruise, with savings opportunities and onboard spending money when booked early.

As the exclusive representative for Atlas Ocean Voyages in Australia, Cruise Traveller has released a new 15-night package for the cruise including savings of AU$4,400 per couple or AU$3,235 for solo when booking by 31 March and receive up to US$300 (around AU$482) onboard spending money when booked by 3 February.

The journey lets travellers hunt for truffles in Tuscany, sample traditional vintages at a family-run winery in the Spanish hills, learn the art of paella in Barcelona, and marvel at the pastel houses clinging to the cliffside on Italy’s Cinque Terre – all alongside the president of Atlas Ocean Voyages who personally hosts the special Epicurean Expedition in the Mediterranean this July.

Atlas Ocean Voyages president and CEO, James A. Rodriguez, will host the special cruise aboard the World Navigator. The ship charts a palate-pleasing course from Barcelona to Athens, with exclusive onboard events hosted by Rodriguez and authentic culinary and cultural experiences ashore.

The “Catalonia to Corinth” package begins on 27 July, with a night in Barcelona, Next day, guests board Atlas Ocean Voyages’ World Navigator for a 12-night Epicurean Expedition voyage from Barcelona to Athens including culinary events onboard and ashore hosted by Rodriguez. Guest chefs onboard include Bobby Marcotte, Peter Campbell and Mara Papatheodorou.

Ashore, guests will join complimentary events such as a truffle safari in Tuscany and a tasting of vintage wines at a family winery in the hills above the pretty coastal hamlet of Roses in Spain. And guests will also be treated to a gourmet Josper Grill charcoal grill dining experience in the ship’s 7AFT Grill restaurant.

As a smaller ship, World Navigator visits more petite and less visited destinations that larger vessels cannot access such as the evocatively named town of Roses in Spain, the fishing town of Setes in France, the brightly coloured, cliff-hugging houses of Portovenere in Italy, the Italian seafood centre of Porto Santo Stefano, the island of Lipari and the charming, white-washed towns of Chania and Hydra in Greece.

After taking guests to 10 destinations in Spain, France, Italy and Greece, the voyage ends in Athens where guests enjoy two nights in a hotel before making their own way back home.

The President’s Cruise package is available from AU$9,755 per person, twin-share, in an Oceanview Stateroom, a saving of AU$2,200. Solo fares are available from AU$14,585 in an Oceanview Stateroom, a saving of A$3,235.

The cruise includes complimentary beverages and mini-bar, pre-paid gratuities, onboard Wi-Fi, culinary experiences ashore, culinary events onboard and Josper Grill Dining Experience at 7AFT Grill onboard the ship. Flights from Australia are extra.
