Aussie trade treated to Tahitian Soirees
Tahiti Tourism has treated the Aussie travel trade to a series of Tahitian Soirées and two wholesaler workshops this week as part of its Meet the Islands of Tahiti Pacific Roadshow.
The first events took place on Monday 24 October with a soirée and workshop at Pullman Sydney Hyde Park and on Tuesday 25 October with another soirée and workshop at InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto.
Approximately 150 Australian travel advisors and 40 wholesalers and media partners were treated to Tahitian-inspired events with tropical cocktails, canapés, as well as some amazing prizes whilst getting the opportunity to discover what’s new in The Islands of Tahiti.
Attendees had the opportunity to mingle and connect with a range of Tahitian partners such as Air Tahiti Nui, Conrad Bora Bora Nui, Hilton Hotel Tahiti, Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa, Paul Gauguin Cruises, Pearl Resorts of Tahiti, Tahiti Nui Travel, Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort, South Pacific Management and Tahiti Travel Services.
“We have been able to virtually educate thousands of agents through our webinars but also via the Tahiti Specialist Programme during the pandemic, and we’re thrilled to finally reconnect with the industry in person,” said Caroline Brunel, Tahiti Tourisme Australia-New Zealand account director.
“Events like this provide a valuable opportunity for Tahiti Tourisme and our partners to meet, and network with influential travel advisors, wholesalers and media partners, helping to secure a greater share of business for The Islands of Tahiti in 2023 and beyond.”
During these past difficult years, the range of hotel brands, cruise companies and the national carrier of the islands have been longing to catch up with key trade partners in Australia to ensure that they are well informed on everything The Islands of Tahiti have to offer.
The Tahiti Specialist Programme has been designed to engage members of the travel industry to participate in a rewards-style programme that incentivises agents to not just sell the destination, but to immerse themselves in it.
In addition to ongoing destination training and booking support, as agents progress through the various levels of the programme, they will be rewarded with opportunities that include luxury and small group famils.
