AYANA appoints travel PR and communications agency AWA to represent Indonesian offering
Edited by Travel Weekly

AYANA Hotels & Resorts has appointed Independent public relations and communications agency Anne Wild & Associates (AWA) to represent its exclusive resorts and cruise offering in Bali and Komodo, Indonesia. The agency’s remit has also been extended to include AYANA MidPlaza Jakarta.

AWA will drive a comprehensive media and communications program to build brand awareness and reinforce AYANA’s unique proposition not just as the premier integrated resort in Bali, but in all of Indonesia.

Named after a ‘place of refuge’ in Sanskrit, the four distinctive properties comprising AYANA Bali – AYANA Resort, AYANA Villas, AYANA Segara and RIMBA by AYANA – sit within the 90-hectare AYANA Bali which enjoys majestic ocean views from its clifftop location above Jimbaran Bay, just 12km from Bali’s airport.

The five-star AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach is an hour’s flight away on the rugged, scenic island of Labuan Bajo, the ‘launching point’ for trips to the home of the famous Komodo Dragon and an aquatic playground renowned for year-round snorkelling and scuba diving  among coral reefs. This is also the home to the deluxe AYANA Lako’dia, a 54-metre-long traditional phinisi yacht sleeping up to 18 guests which undertakes decadent voyages around Komodo National Park.

AYANA Midplaza Jakarta is 5-star hotel and oasis in the heart of the city, offering travellers respite from the urban landscape with a resort-style pool, tranquil spa, tennis and squash courts and a choice of seven restaurants and bars.

Commenting on the appointment, AWA’s managing director Anne Wild said: “We are delighted to have the privilege of partnering with AYANA once more to further elevate the brand in a competitive market. Australian travel to Asia is surging and AYANA offers diverse destinations and experiences for luxury-loving travellers, from lush resorts in Bali to untouched gems in exotic Komodo, as well as stand out products including Rock Bar Bali and the innovative new SAKA Museum – one of Time Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places for 2024.”

AYANA’s executive assistant manager of sales and marketing Michi Sonoda, added: “We are looking forward to working with the talented and trusted team at AWA and leveraging their luxury travel and tourism expertise to introduce our stunning portfolio of properties and unique experiences to a wider – and growing – Australian audience.”

AWA’s travel expertise has been recognised by the global Travel Lifestyle Network (TLN), with AWA selected as TLN’s representative agency in Australia and New Zealand.  Anne Wild also sits on the TLN Board heading up the APAC region.
