PTM’s go the extra mile for client involved in Fort Lauderdale shooting

Travel Managers’ Personal Travel Managers (PTM), Deborah Davies and Kerry Bianchi, assisted a client who was caught up in the tragic shooting at Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida last weekend.

The clients, who were not receiving any meaningful assistance from the airline staff on the ground or their Online Travel Agent (OTA), reached out to Travel Managers PTM’s who were quickly alerted of the situation, and thanks to the company’s NPO Disaster Management Plan, were able to respond to passengers affected timely.

Travellers Choice has announced the appointment of Sharon Orchin as its new Sydney-based Business Development Manager for New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

In her new role, Orchin is responsible for supporting Travellers Choice members’ sales and marketing activities, driving expansion of the national retail group’s network, and liaising with preferred suppliers

Special Announcement: Exemption of Tourist (Single Entry) Visa Fee and Decrease of Visa on Arrival (VoA) Fee, says Thailand

Between 1st December 2016 and 28 February 2017, all applicants applying for Temporary Tourist Visa (Single Entry) to Thailand will be exempted from the visa fee, and Temporary Visa on Arrival Fee’s have been reduced to Australia.

Tourists from Andorra, Bulgaria, Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, India, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are entitled to apply for VoA fee at designated immigration checkpoints, allowing tourists to stay in Australia for up to 15 days.
