Agents inspired by South Pacific destinations at Treasures of the South Pacific event
Travel agents gathered last week to attend Treasures of the South Pacific, a series of events designed to educate and inspire Australian travel agents about the variety of tourism product and experiences available across the South Pacific.
The South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) and Pacific Trade Invest, Australia sponsored the events, hosting over 70 travel agents in Melbourne on Tuesday 17 April, and 29 travel agents in Hobart the following evening.
Agents were inspired by the culture, nature, creativity and adventurous spirit that the South Pacific has to offer as they gained knowledge and insights from tourism office representatives including the Cook Islands, Fiji, Norfolk Island, Vanuatu, Samoa, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Solomon Islands and the Hidden Treasures of the Pacific.
Julie O’Grady from Exclusively Cruising and Lucy White from Helloworld were the lucky winners of an all-inclusive position on the next fabulous Matai Mega Famil to Fiji, courtesy of Tourism Fiji.
