Brand USA launches sports-themed famil incentive
Edited by Travel Weekly

Brand USA is teaming up with Arizona Office of Tourism, Delta Air Lines, Infinity Holidays, Sports Where I Am and Alamo Rent A Car to offer agents in Australia and New Zealand an exclusive famil opportunity.

Eight lucky agents will get to attend exciting sporting events in Las Vegas and Phoenix, and experience the thrill of the open road, exploring a section of the iconic Route 66 in Nevada and Arizona.

Traveling from 28 February to 8 March 2025, agents will experience the Western states of Nevada and Arizona, including Las Vegas.

The fam is an opportunity for agents to immerse themselves in the USA’s iconic road
tripping culture and experience first-hand how road travel elevates any holiday to the USA. From
the freedom to explore at the travellers own pace, to discovering off the beaten track towns,
experiences and local legends, self-drive holidays are a memorable way for travellers to enjoy the
USA.

Research from the National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) shows a quarter of Australian and New Zealand visitors travel to the USA for sporting events. Brand USA is delighted to be offering agents the opportunity to experience the excitement and atmosphere of sport in the USA at a time when sports tourism is
growing.

Brand USA, in partnership with Infinity Holidays, has developed 26 ready-to-book, customisable road trip itineraries that cover all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Along with Infinity’s growing bookable sports experiences this famil gives agents a direct connection between the product and the experience. This unique initiative aims to enable agents with that knowledge and experience to transform their own clients’ self-drive and sporting dreams into reality.

“We are excited to launch this incentive with our partners and give agents the opportunity to experience celebrated U.S. activities, such as attending sporting events and road tripping. With many large-scale sporting events taking place in the USA, along with the 100th anniversary of Route 66 coming up in 2026, we anticipate interest in these types of holiday experiences to increase in 2025,” said Suzy Shepard, director, Asia Pacific, Global Trade Development for Brand USA.

“This famil is a great way for agents to learn more about these iconic U.S. experiences and feel better equipped to assist their clients. The carefully crafted itinerary showcases Nevada and Arizonia in a way that many won’t have experienced before, making this a truly unique opportunity,” continued Shepard.

To win a spot on the ‘Brand USA Sports Odyssey Famil’ agents will need to ensure they are a silver status holder or higher with the USA Discovery Program, the USA’s learning and sales resource program for travel agents. This comprehensive platform includes deep training and a range of sales enablement tools to help agents retain knowledge, promote USA travel to their clients, create itineraries, and make bookings with targeted sales support.

Agents can become USA experts by completing badges designed to enhance knowledge on the destination and they can even complete badges on the go using the USA Discovery Program app.

For agents that have already achieved silver status, there are additional chances to secure a spot on this incredible famil. Agents can complete or retain the Alamo specialist badge on USA Discovery Program to secure one additional entry; make an air booking to the USA with Delta Air Lines to earn an entry; and make a land booking from Australia or New Zealand to mainland USA with Infinity Holidays to earn double entries.

The ‘Brand USA Sports Odyssey Road Trip’ is open now via www.usadiscoveryprogram.com.au for
Australian agents and www.usadiscoveryprogram.co.nz for New Zealand agents. Agents can complete their badges and log their bookings via the USA Discovery Program before 15 January 2025 for their chance to win.
