Castille Paris celebrates reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris
Edited by Travel Weekly

Star Hotels Collezione’s Castille Paris has announced a mini exhibition with exclusive creations in celebration of the highly anticipated reopening of the Notre-Dame Cathedral.

From 8 December 2024 to 8 February 2025, Castille Paris invites guests to explore the mini exhibition that pays tribute to the history and rebirth of the cathedral.

In the intimate setting of the tea lounge adjacent to L’Assaggio, the hotel’s restaurant, four exclusive photographs by Patrick Zachmann, the only photographer granted access to the Notre-Dame restoration site, will be displayed. These images, capturing the spirit of a renaissance project, immerse viewers in the atmosphere of the site, revealing the meticulous care and passion that fueled the restoration of this symbol of Gothic art. Open to the public, this mini exhibition offers an artistic and human perspective on the rebirth of this masterpiece.

To extend the tribute, Castille Paris – Starhotels Collezione is presenting a Notre-Dame package for stays starting from 8 December. Guests staying for a minimum of one night can book this exclusive package, which includes:

  • Two Notre-Dame cocktails specially crafted to honor the cathedral.
  • Patrick Zachmann’s book, providing a visual journey into the restoration project.
  • Transportation to Notre-Dame, ensuring a complete cultural and gastronomic experience.
  • Access to Notre-Dame, subject to availability.

Notre-Dame Cocktail: An Elixir Inspired by History

Available from early December, the Notre-Dame Cocktail is a creation that pays homage to the cathedral’s spiritual and historical roots. Crafted with Benedictine DOM, a liqueur made by Norman monks, the cocktail nods to Notre-Dame’s religious vocation. The carefully selected ingredients evoke the flavors and aromas of a by gone era: Benedictine DOM, white vermouth infused with rosemary or thyme, parsley juice, lime juice, honey, and a white foam topping (Magic Velvet). To enhance the experience, each glass is served with coasters inspired by the cathedral’s stained glass, adding a visual touch of authenticity.

Through this series of initiatives, L’Assaggio invites guests to celebrate the reopening of Notre-Dame by combining art, history, and gastronomy. This experience offers a unique opportunity to rediscover an invaluable heritage while enjoying the elegance and creativity of the venue.
