Edited by Travel Weekly

The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) has announced several promotions and the launch of a celebratory competition to mark its 25th anniversary.

CATO invites industry members to delve into their archives and share their most cherished memorabilia from a quarter century of land touring. All entries are welcome, whether it’s a vibrant brochure cover, a snapshot of a CATO event, or a photograph from a tour. The submissions will help paint a vivid picture of the rich history and evolution of land touring.

Winners receive the following:

  • A complimentary ticket to the CATO Christmas Lunch on 5 December 2024, valued at $180.
  • A MasterCard gift card worth $250 to further enrich their travel adventures.

All industry member submissions will have the distinct honour of their contributions featured in a special video montage at the Christmas Lunch. It offers a fantastic opportunity to become a part of CATO’s storied history and share journeys with peers who cherish the spirit of travel.

CATO chair, Dennis Bunnik, said: “We’re excited to celebrate 25 years of supporting the land touring industry, and what better way to do it then to reflect on some of the moments that have defined our members journeys.”

How to enter:

  • Submit a picture of digital copy by emailing it to CATO.
  • Use the subject line: CATO 25th Anniversary Submission.
  • Deadline for entries is on 31 October 2024.
