Changing the world through travel: G Adventures launches new ‘agent bible’

G Adventures has launched the ultimate guide to adventure travel – its new Agent Guide!

We attended the Sydney launch last night and were blown away by the scope and range of content offered by the guide, which covers everything from the company’s origin story, their top-selling tours, a crash course in the company’s ethos and management team plus plenty of handy cheat sheets and stats on their offerings.

Not to mention plenty of information on how G Adventures is changing the world through travel and how agents can help.

G Adventures head of sales, Ingrid Kocijan told us the guide is meant to answer any questions agents may have about the company.

She said the guide is meant to show agents that G Adventures isn’t just about their iconic adventure trips like the Inca Trail, but to show them that the adventure travel company has something for every age range.

“When we say adventure we don’t mean active adventure, we mean culturally immersive experiences,” Kocijan said.

Ultimately, the guide is meant to show agents how they can change their clients lives through the power of travel.

G Adventures GPS (Global Purpose Specialist) team will be distributing the Agent Guide to travel agencies throughout Australia and New Zealand over the next few months.

Agencies can request an Agent Guide for their store ahead of time by contacting their local GPS through G Adventures agency portal, Sherpa

The guide begins with the story of how company founder, Bruce Poon Tip launched what’s now the worlds largest independently owned adventure travel company from a garage apartment in Toronto with nothing but two maxed out credit cards and an ambition to develop tours that really get to the heart of a destination.

“We get out what we put in,” Poon Tip is quoted saying in the Agent Guide.

“You just have to believe that what you’re doing is important, that it’s worth the effort, and you’re doing it for reasons other than just to make money.”

Want to hear more about Poon Tip’s journey? Well, you’re in luck because he’s our headline speaker at this year’s Travel DAZE!
