Chris Watson Travel welcomes new Sydney-based team members

The team over at Chris Watson Travel has grown in size of late, with three new additions joining the gang.

Over the past two years, Tamworth based company Chris Watson Travel Group has slowly expanded and diversified with the acquisition of a coach charter company and a glamping company, starting a wholesale business and a new retail operation under sister brand Rediscover Travel.

Managing director, Chris Watson said the business has been in survival mode, but over the past few months it has seen enough growth in sales and enquiries to prompt the addition of a few new Sydney-based hires.

With 40 years in the industry, Karen Magee joins the team as sales and operations manager, having previously worked for JTG and most recently Tertiary Travel.

Melissiah Missio, who has 30 years of experience under her belt with a focus on cheer and dance groups, joins as groups manager.

Industry veteran Mark Haddad formerly of China Best Tours(CBT) and Tertiary Travel has also joined the team as product and business development manager.

“We are very excited to welcome these three great new team members to our already dynamic team,” Watson said.

“It is important we are ready for when travel returns because [when it does] consumers will need us more than ever.”
