    After much anticipation, Cirque du Soleil announces the launch of its first resident production in Hawaii, coming to the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel in late 2024.

    ‘Auana, stems from the loose translation of to wander, veer off the beaten path, or embark on a journey. It foreshadows the thrilling adventure that audience members take part in as they traverse through Hawai’i’s unique stories and historic milestone events. The show promises to meld the poetic and nuanced Hawaiian worldview with Cirque di Soleil’s signature style.

    The show is woven through the native Hawaiian inspiration of the island’s natural beauty. These components are personified through colour, texture, projections, and sound, all of which culminates in a spectacular celebration of Hawaiian culture. It adds to the legendary genealogy of Waikiki’s entertainment, bringing revelry back to the heart of this neighbourhood.

    The home for ‘Auana is custom-designed to be an intimate theatre space that seats 784 guests with performances starting 15 December 2024, every Wednesday through Sunday at 5:30pm and 8:30pm.
