FAMIL: Club Med and Jetstar take 43 Aussie agents on a mega trip to Phuket
Edited by Travel Weekly

Club Med teamed up with Jetstar earlier this month to welcome 43 travel agents to Club Med Phuket for its ‘mega fam’ event.

Following a nail-biting sales incentive, top-selling travel agents from NSW, QLD, VIC, WA and SA were rewarded with a premium four-night stay at the breath-taking Club Med Phuket, with all the trimmings of Club Med’s world-class all-inclusive offering included.

Agents were not only immersed in the Club Med brand with hands-on training sessions and informative presentations but also given the chance to experience the newly renovated resort.

Following the first round of renovations in 2022, Club Med Phuket debuted a redesigned pool and lounge area, a newly renovated restaurant and main bar area and three brand new meeting rooms, elevating the resort’s offering to the next level for guests.

The second stage of renovations completed earlier this year saw both superior and deluxe rooms upgraded alongside the introduction of superior plus rooms, ideal for couples in need of added relaxation.

Michelle Davies, General Manager for Club Med Pacific says the rebound of outbound travel from Australia to Asia has finally hit its stride thanks to increased airlift.

“We were thrilled to showcase one of our shining stars of Asia; Phuket, to travel agents, following a multimillion renovation,” GM, Club Med Pacific, Michelle Davies, said.

“The feedback we received from travel agents was fantastic.

“With the added introduction of our Teenager Program Chill Pass, we know this destination will become the perfect solution for Agents to propose to their family clients.

“2024 forward bookings to Phuket have skyrocketed to over 77 per cent for leisure clients since 2019, so having our travel agents understand why Phuket is so appealing for families is crucial ahead of peak sales periods.”

The launch of the newly renovated resort also marked the introduction of Club Med’s ‘Amazing Family Program’, a concept that offers parents the opportunity to spend special time with their children through a weekly agenda of fun activities, including treasure hunts, pool parties and more.

As one of the most sought-after events of the year, the mega fam to Club Med Phuket was the second time Club Med teamed up with Jetstar, following on from the success of its mega fam to Club Med Bali in 2022.
