Speaking on the turnout and the event more generally, Hewlett said, “We’re so grateful for the relationships Michelle Cook has built locally, support from our partners and such a superb attendance.

“The energy and affection for Collette in the room was extraordinary!

“Collette’s Centennial is down to the enduring positive partnerships and relationships built globally and every day we see that grow here too!”

Hewlett and Cook also took the opportunity to announce the launch of Collette Explorations, a new type of product which is sure to shake-up the world of tourism.

Collette Explorations promises to give travellers a deeper, more meaningful connection to the cultures of the world, an opportunity to learn, discover, and to experience a slice of everyday life that somehow feels extraordinary.

Commenting on the launch of Explorations, Hewlett added, “Collette has always focused on delivering superb guest experiences and providing customers numerous styles of travel.

“The 2019-20 Explorations range of small group tours is perhaps the greatest evolution in Collette’s 100-year history.

“It takes touring to a new level to bring out the best of the destination.

“We look forward to sharing more with agents and partners at events over the next two weeks!”

Hewlett will also be speaking at Travel Weekly’s Travel DAZE event on Monday.
