Collette has appointed Narelle Riley as the director of marketing, reporting to the managing director of its Australian office, Karen Deveson.

With more than 25 years in marketing, including more than eight years in the travel and tourism industry with brands such as P&O and Trafalgar, Riley brings a wealth of expertise to Collette and will play a crucial role in driving brand growth and engagement.

Riley’s background spans agency and client-side roles, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of marketing strategies and execution. Her leadership as marketing director at P&O led to a prestigious Effie award, showcasing her ability to build high performing teams and achieve exceptional results.

“Narelle’s passion for building strong brands and her talent for creating impactful campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences make her a valuable addition to the Collette team. She excels in leveraging market trends, consumer insights, and omnichannel marketing techniques to deliver measurable results,” Collette said in announcing the appointment.

Riley has also successfully implemented customer acquisition strategies, loyalty programs, and innovative marketing initiatives, showcasing her strategic mindset and creative flair, Collette said. Her track record of driving brand growth and engaging consumers reflects her deep understanding of the industry.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support shown by the travel agent community to Collette. We are growing from strength to strength and are building out a bigger team to compliment the growth,” Deveson said.

“We have recently appointed Narelle Riley as director of marketing. Narelle will head up all aspects of marketing and comes to Collette with a stellar career with travel, media and agency experience. She has a number of positions to recruit for in marketing as she builds her marketing team.

“We have commenced our search for a head of Australian call centre – this is a key role underpinning our decision to maintain an Australian based call centre. These roles and a number in sales, reservations and groups will set us up for a great 2025 year.”
