Crew members tie the knot on board cruise ship

Just in case you need some good news to brighten up your Tuesday, check out this couple’s fabulous cruise ship virtual wedding.

Celebrity Edge crew members Rajiv and Venita decided they were not going to let COVID-19 ruin their special day, after their wedding in Mauritius was cancelled.

Instead, the two were joined by family and friends via Zoom for a special wedding on board Celebrity Edge, with fellow crew members setting up handmade decorations and recreating the couple’s dream wedding cake.

The ceremony took place in the Eden dining room with the ships insta-famous captain Kate McCue officiating and Bug Naked (McCue’s also insta-famous cat) as ring bearer.

Venita’s father, who works as an onboard chef for the ship, was able to walk her down the aisle.

To celebrate the special day, the cruise line has created a range of Celebrity wedding backgrounds for Zoom, which you can download here.
