Designers take centre stage at FTE

Models dressed in the latest Fijian-inspired designs strutted their stuff at FTE2015.

The catwalk show which highlighted the designers at the forthcoming Fiji Fashion Week, coincides with the tourism body’s aim to promote itself as a cultural destination, with arts and crafts integral by playing a pivotal role for locals.

In a double win, the local designers showcased their wares to major stakeholders attending the FTE expo. Ideally, Fiji Tourism say they want Fijian crafted and made products to be labelled clearly for tourists, in particular those shopping for artefacts at resort boutiques.
