Discover the high seas on dry land via Viking’s new information sessions
Viking has opened registration for its Australian capital city information sessions commencing on Tuesday, 27 February 2024, in Sydney.
The sessions are scheduled to be hosted in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane capital cities, and the Gold Coast, before concluding in Perth on 21 March 2024.
Viking’s complementary Explorer Sessions allows agents and their clients to learn about travelling with Viking, find inspiration for their next voyage and discover Viking’s river, ocean, and expedition journeys across seven continents.
Viking managing director ANZ, Michelle Black said: “Based on feedback from guests and agents, we have added several new sessions to the 2024 agenda. Our Introduction to Viking session is perfect for those new to Viking, covering the difference between our ocean, river and expedition voyages and what life is like on board.
“Our destination sessions are for those who know where they want to explore, and our unique destinations are dedicated to our loyal guests who have extensively explored with us, and are looking for something new or different. Whether attendees are interested in polar expeditions, unique destinations, European river journeys, Mediterranean, Scandinavian or Asia ocean voyages, or are completely new to Viking, our information sessions have been designed to deliver specific information relevant to the traveller’s agenda.
“Agents and their guests will spend less time in sessions they don’t need, making a decision on their next trip more informed and easier.”
The 45- to 75-minute sessions commence at 10:00 am, with the last session at 6:30 pm. Complimentary morning tea, drinks and canapés will be served before each session, providing an opportunity for networking amongst new and previous guests and agents.
“I recommend these sessions to all my clients who are looking at doing something a little bit different. To me, having that boutique experience and personal service is so much nicer and it makes selling a lot easier.” Debbie Eyers, Flight Centre Narellan.
Attendees will not only leave the session informed and inspired to book but will also receive an exclusive offer, encouraging them to secure their preferred dates and itinerary with their agent.
“Guests I invited to the session made a booking on the spot. Viking’s presentation reassured them that now is a good time to start planning.” Roland Kautzky, Travel Associates Toorak.
Black added that this is an excellent opportunity for savvy agents to leverage Viking’s information sessions to educate clients, convert new bookings and earn extra commission.
