Expecting parents now have the perfect excuse for a city escape and indulge in a luxurious babymoon, thanks to Dorsett Melbourne’s new partnership with Melbourne-based maternity and pregnancy pillow brand, Sleepybelly.

Launching today, The Dorsett Melbourne x Sleepybelly Babymoon Experience combines comfort, relaxation, and indulgence, presenting the ideal retreat for parents-to-be at its Little Lonsdale St destination.

The upscale Dorsett Melbourne, which opened in April 2023, has curated this thoughtful experience, tailored specifically for pregnant women. Available for booking from 1 October 2024, the experience allows soon-to-be parents to enjoy a comfortable, restful and memorable stay before their new family arrival.

The experience includes overnight accommodation for two in an executive room or suite, with a Sleepybelly Maternity Pillow provided as a welcome addition for soon-to-be mothers seeking a restful night’s sleep.

Designed with the highest quality materials to offer maximum comfort and support, Sleepybelly ensures guests enjoy a stay free from sore backs, tossing and turning, and sleeplessness.

Sleepybelly was founded in 2021 by two friends who set out to create the ultimate maternity pillow that offers comfort, support and peace of mind for expecting mothers. The Sleepybelly pillow is designed to prevent expectant mothers from rolling onto their back during sleep, encouraging a side-sleeping position, ensuring both comfort and peace of mind.

Also included in the Dorsett stay are two sets of cosy robes and slippers, along with Club Lounge access which comes with continental breakfast options. Alternatively, guests can opt for buffet breakfast at Port Bistro or upgrade their stay to include a breakfast hamper with local pastries, condiments, seasonal fruits and nourishing juices. Guests looking for some movement will also have access to the indoor pool and yoga room.

Complimentary valet parking and a late checkout for an extended stay will also be a part of the experience ensuring parents are leaving the hotel rested and rejuvenated.

As a bonus, the first 24 guests to book their stay will receive a complimentary Sleepybelly Magnesium Body Balm at no additional cost.

“The collaboration with Dorsett Melbourne is a wonderful way for us to provide some extra support for
expecting mothers with a restful, indulgent getaway that truly caters to their needs,” Sleepybelly co-founder Hannah Douglas said.

Parents-to-be can also enhance their stay with a gender-reveal dessert prepared by Dorsett Melbourne’s culinary team at an additional cost.

“We are thrilled to be launching our first Babymoon Experience in collaboration with Sleepybelly,” said
Dorsett Melbourne general manager Stephen Cane.

“Noticing the absence of tailored babymoon options in Melbourne, we created this experience to be the perfect opportunity for expecting parents to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy some quiet time before welcoming their newborn. Our partnership with Sleepybelly aims to cater to every mother-to-be to ensure they experience the luxurious facilities at Dorsett Melbourne and the best maternity pillow on the market.”

The Dorsett Melbourne comprises 316 guest rooms and suites over eight levels, designed by award-winning architects Cottee Parker.
