As part of its e-learning specialist program, Tahiti Tourisme invited its highest performing Tahiti specialist travel agents from Australia on a trade famil to The Islands of Tahiti in partnership with Windstar Cruises last week.

The group of travel agents who were invited to the famil thanks to their registration and results in the Tahiti Specialist Programme were treated to a 10-day famil visiting some of the most beautiful locations in The Islands of Tahiti such as the main island Tahiti, the majestic sister island Moorea, the lesser-known Huahine, the vanilla island Taha’a, the historic Raiatea and the renowned Bora Bora.

After flying with Air Tahiti Nui, the famil began with site visits on Tahiti at a range of properties such as Le Tahiti by Pearl Resort, Pare Lodge (a locally run guesthouse/pension), Kon Tiki Hotel and Intercontinental Resort Tahiti before the group embarked on a 6-night Windstar cruise.

While visiting a range of islands travelling on the Star Breeze, the group were taken on site visits at a range of hotels such as the recently opened Cook’s Bay Hotel and Niu Beach Hotel in Moorea, the opulent Four Seasons Bora Bora and St Regis Bora Bora, and Le Maitai Lapita in Huahine to name a few.

The group was also brought on a range of day experiences to fully immerse themselves in the French Polynesian culture, including a visit to a pearl farm, lagoon excursions, and a Tahiti island tour with waterfalls and cultural stops on the way.

Below is the list of participants in the famil:

  • Lisa Reeve, Wye and James Travel Associates
  • Evelyn Cassar, Mosman Travel
  • Kathy Labbozzetta, Your travel and cruise
  • Jennifer Mason, New Farm Travel
  • Briony Thomas, Tailored Travel and Cruise
  • Deborah Oliver, Island Travel Specialists
