FCM Consulting appoints Jason Kramer as senior air consultant

FCM Consulting appoints Jason Kramer as senior air consultant
Edited by Travel Weekly

Flight Centre’s  FCM Consulting, a division of FCM Travel, has named Jason Kramer as its new Air Category
Lead worldwide.

Kramer brings almost 30 years of experience to the business across airlines, consulting, sales and client relationships, SaaS, and product development – all in the managed travel space.

“What’s attractive about FCM Consulting is the opportunity ahead to drive our air practice and work with
a diverse set of customers,” said Kramer.

Whilst Kramer will direct FCM Consulting’s air category management and sourcing resources, he is also tasked with continuing FCM Consulting’s advancement of its product portfolio, including their proprietary Air Contracting IQ tool to bring greater transparency to clients’ air program performance.

“What’s fascinating about managed air travel today is that it’s undergoing a revolution,” he said.

“It was once simply about savings on fares via GDS and performing to targets, but now the landscape of value can be defined in endless ways, and we help our clients meet that need through data and actionable analytics.

“I’m a believer in client-led development and I’m excited to sit down with our clients to demonstrate the
value of our consulting products, while also looking to them to help shape our innovation and confirm
our direction.

“I’ve learned over the years that no client, no program, no policy is the same and it’s exciting to work
with each client individually to understand their own unique needs and goals and deliver to their
expectations – and then go above and beyond.”

Jo Lloyd, FCM Consulting’s Global Head of Customer Management and Consulting, welcomed the
appointment and said Kramer had previously held leadership positions in consulting and product
development and would bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role.

“Jason’s subject matter expertise in managed air programs and product development will be invaluable
to our global clients,” said Lloyd.

“He’ll pull from and apply his experiences working with clients across all sectors and program sizes and
drive value to their air programs with the products that FCM Consulting delivers.”

Kramer serves on the Global Business Travel Association’s influential Aviation Committee. Over the years,
he has sourced and managed air programs with company headquarters in more than a dozen countries,
including those based in Europe, APAC/Australia, Africa and North America.
