FCM Meetings & Events celebrates EOFY in style at ‘Flichella 2023’

FCM Meetings & Events, the skilled creative specialists, have successfully delivered a record-breaking Flichella, the end-of-financial year celebration for Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG).

More than 3,700 ‘Flighties’ and supply partners from across the country descended on Brisbane’s famous Riverstage as the likes of DJ Havana Brown, The Jungle Giants and First Nations singer-songwriter Chris Tamwoy rocked into the night.

Over 40 partner brands jumped on board to support Flichella again this year, including main sponsors Virgin Australia, Cover-More, TTC Touring, Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Quest Apartments, Rex Airlines, Sabre, Singapore Airlines, TEQ, and Viking, among many others.

FCM Meetings & Events General Manager, Simone Seiler, said the ‘Future is Neon’ theme was fitting as it complemented FCTG’s commitment to supporting the ‘Brightness of Future’ of all employees.

“It was fabulous to see Riverstage flooded with the brightest of colours and filled with joyous energy as our wonderfully resilient people came together to celebrate what has been a real bounce back year for FCTG,” she said.

“The future is most certainly bright.

“A showpiece occasion like this takes months and months of vision and planning. It’s fortunate that we have the best people with incredible experience to put an event like this together.

“Our people are our greatest strength and with reward and recognition ingrained in our culture, it’s truly humbling to show our employees what they mean to us on such a large scale.

“There’s a genuine excitement to be working in the travel industry again with people wanting more now than ever to get on planes for either a holiday or for business travel – this event showcases exactly why people are flooding to FCTG for a career.

“I must also pay tribute to our sponsorship partners and the team who helped make this amazing occasion possible. We’re truly blessed to have such strong relationships with our supplier partnership network, and we have the most talented team in the business.”
