Bluey’s World, one of the largest and most ambitious immersive events to be staged in Australia, held an opening ceremony this week to officially launch in Brisbane.

Dignitaries and special guests gathered to celebrate the launch of this immersive For Real Life experience, warmly welcoming visitors to step into the beloved world of Australia’s favourite blue heeler family.

Located at the expansive 4,000sqm custom-built Northshore Pavilion in the Queensland capital, Bluey’s World offers a unique guided experience for families and fans.

With innovative set designs, interactive games, and activities for children and adults alike, Bluey’s World has been carefully curated to mirror the spirit of the series, encouraging creative play and connection.

“We’re thrilled to throw open the Heeler’s front door and welcome families to Bluey’s World,” BBC Studios ANZ director of brands and licensing Kate O’Connor said.

“This experience is one-of-a-kind, offering fans a unique way to engage with Bluey in an imaginative, hands-on environment. We hope it will inspire children and parents alike to enjoy moments of play and creativity, just like the Heelers.”

Opening celebrations, held at Northshore Pavilion, Hamilton, drew fans, families and famous faces, eager to immerse themselves in the wonder of Bluey’s World.

“It’s such a special moment to see Bluey’s World come to life right here in my hometown where Bluey was created,” said the voice of Chilli, Melanie Zanetti.

“This show has such a big heart, and it’s incredible to see families stepping into Bluey’s universe and experiencing that same magic up close. I’m incredibly proud to be part of something that brings so much joy to people of all ages, and there’s no better place to celebrate it than here in Brisbane.”

“The highly-anticipated Bluey’s World experience will bring fans from across the world to Brisbane, creating more to see and do in our city, boosting our economy and supporting local jobs. I encourage fans of the show to come and experience all that the Heeler family’s hometown of Brisbane has to offer – for real life!”
