The owner of Grafton Travel, a member of Helloworld Travel, is passing the baton of ownership, after 17 years, to an inhouse expert in long-term local advisor, Louise Thompson.

Thompson has been with Grafton Travel for 13 years and is a “Grafton girl” through and through having served the community travel needs for her entire career.

Previous owner Corey Bertali knows he is passing the store to expert hands and is delighted to be not only keeping the business “in the family” but also to someone who knows the community so well.

“I have complete faith in Louise and her standout abilities that will continue the long tradition of Grafton Travel as a successful and much-loved member of the business community,” Bertali said.

And a long history it is with as Grafton Travel has achieved an incredible milestone of continuous business operations with the same business name for over 75 years.

Passing the baton: Corey with Louise.

The official and original business registration was dated on 14 March 1949.

“I am incredibly proud and excited to be taking the reins of this terrific agency,” Thompson said. “Corey and I have worked well together for a long time, and it will be a wonderful partnership going forward.”

Helloworld Travel head of branded and associate networks, Nick Sutherland, offered his congratulations.

“Congratulations to Louise on her new ownership of Grafton Travel, a highly successful business with such a rich history,” he said,

“Also, to Corey, best wishes and congratulations on your successes in leading this business in the Grafton community for the past 17 years.”
