Hawai‘i tourism kicks off Mahalo Month

Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania (HTO) has said mahalo to the Aussie travel industry, for helping to sell and promote the Hawaiian Islands.

From April 1 to May 31, Mahalo Month will kick off, providing travel professionals with special rates and offers from Hawai‘i’s travel industry during this period, including discount accommodation and touring options.

Even the airlines are jumping on board, adding extra air capacity to Hawaii from both Sydney and Brisbane for 2015, and let’s be honest – a trip to the Islands could be just what you need to help convert the current Aussie demand.

HTO’s country manager for Australia, Ashlee Galea, said there’s no better way to sell a destination than to visit it.

“The best way to learn about the Hawaiian Islands is to visit the destination and experience the people, place and culture first-hand,” Galea said.

“We would like to thank our travel trade partners for their ongoing support and we encourage them to take a well-deserved holiday to Hawaii in April or May 2015, taking advantage of the exceptional discounts being made available through the Mahalo Month program. With six unique islands to choose from, Hawai‘i has something for everyone.”

Travel professionals will be able to take advantage of special offers on O‘ahu, Maui, Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i Island, and Lāna‘i.

Accommodation rates clock in at around US$99 per night, with some tours offered free of charge, and even 50% trimmed off for your guest.

In addition, there are also great discounts for attractions and dining. For more info and a complete listing of all special offers, register/login to the Mahalo Month website.

Reservations for accommodations, tours or attractions must be made directly with the participating Hawai‘i industry partner, and travel pros need to download a Mahalo Month for Travel Professionals card from the website to present, along with a business card or company authorisation letter and a valid picture ID in order to score this Mahalo Month special rate.
