With an impressive background, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing Management from the Australian Institute of Business, Daniella brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry.

In her new role, Tonetto will spearhead the delivery of top-tier commercial performance in the Australasia region, driving the development and implementation of strategies in order to optimize revenue. Tonetto’s role is pivotal to achieving commercial targets and expanding market share across Australasia as Hilton continues to grow its portfolio in this crucial region.

“I am delighted to be joining Hilton International and the Australasia team to lead the Commercial functions,” Daniella Tonetto said.

“It’s wonderful to be back in the region and look forward to collaborating across the region to drive performance and growth.”

In her most recent role as Director – Hotels at Axsia HTL, Tonetto collaborated with Hotel Owners to develop and execute their vision for their hotel portfolio, focused on maximizing return on investment. She also worked closely with Hotel Leadership teams to implement strategies around achieving their vision.

Prior to Axsia HTL, Tonetto held several senior commercial roles with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Marriot International across Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Region.  Daniella returned to Australia in late 2022 after a 7-year tenure in Macau, as the general manager sales and marketing for Sheraton Grand Macao & The St. Regis Macao where she was responsible for driving and executing commercial strategies to maximise all revenue opportunities.

Tonetto’s depth of experience in the Australasian market is underscored by her achievements in driving domestic and international sales, marketing, and revenue strategies for trading and pre-opening hotels across the Starwood network. Her proven track record in the region highlights her ability to effectively lead teams, enhance brand differentiation, and consistently exceed commercial targets.

“We are thrilled to welcome Daniella to the Australasia leadership team,” area vice president and head of Australasia, Hilton, Paul Hutton, said.

“Her experience and dedication will undoubtedly drive our continued success in the Australasia region.”

Liz Perkins, vice president commercial operations Asia Pacific, Hilton, said, “Daniella’s passion for the industry, combined with her strong business acumen and proven track record of driving business strategies and creating high-performance teams, makes her a valuable addition to Hilton.”
