Hotel Review: Villa Kubu, Seminyak, Bali

Villa stays have been popular for some time among Aussies, but now the plethora of luxury homes in Bali mean the market is surging. One of the trend setters in Seminyak is Villa Kubu.

ROOMS 7/10

A nice hotel room tends to be around the 40-50 sqm mark. Villa Kubu’s three bedroom offerings deliver 360 sqm (and 490 sqm if you include the private garden and pool) – 10 times that of a hotel. The point being, villa stays deliver way more bang for your buck. Villa Kubu was one of the early pioneers into Seminyak and as a result there are a few affects of wear and tear. Nevertheless that age also brings well practiced customer service (see below).

SERVICE 9/10

Since most villas or complexes of villas are owned independently the service and inclusions can vary tremendously. Villa Kubu has, over the years, carved out its reputation from offering excellent service that feels as if it’s come from some of the best hotels around.

FACILITIES 8/10

The villa is more than ample for a family. The pool will be loved by all kids but facilities are on the lean side. The in-house menu is quite simple but there are many fantastic café and restaurants nearby. There is a restaurant on site, breakfast is included each day and can be brought to your villa making the morning routine a very relaxed, casual affair.

VALUE FOR MONEY 8/10
