Here’s how to become a certified ‘SA Expert’

With nearly all domestic borders open to South Australia, now is a good time to get up to date on the best experiences this state has to offer.

As such, the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) is encouraging all Australian travel agents to complete a new training program.

Launched on 1 October, the five-part training module introduces the travel trade to some of the state’s unique experiences.

These include learning where you can taste tawny port from your birth year, experience the world’s only 360-degree lion experience, and discover luxury accommodation on the cliffs of the Murray River.

While learning about many more of the state’s experiences, agents are also thrown a variety of general information questions about travel times to different regions, and how to get around SA.

The five modules consist of three quizzes with 30 multiple choice questions per quiz, an overview of SA presentation and video with three attached questions, and a short trade training video with three questions.

Upon completion of the entire training program, agents will qualify as an ‘SA Expert’ and be granted exclusive access to discounted experiences and accommodation, SA Expert famils, early notification of trade campaigns, advertising material, and use of the SA Expert logo.

Furthermore, the first 300 Aussie agents to qualify as SA Experts will receive a delicious Haigh’s super chocolate frog – a delicacy most South Australians will tell you is to die for.

Those agents keen on becoming a specialist on all things SA can get started by clicking here.
