Indian Pacific unveils Perth-Sydney itinerary with exclusive off-train experiences
Edited by Travel Weekly

The iconic Indian Pacific has unveiled a new five-day, four-night itinerary, extending its eastbound journey from Perth to Sydney and offering a host of immersive off-train experiences in 2025.

Celebrating over 50 years of cross-country rail travel, this revamped itinerary enhances opportunities for guests to explore Australia’s unique landscapes, cultures, and stories.

For travel agents and clients seeking unforgettable adventures, this expanded itinerary sets a new standard for cross-country rail travel.

“With all-inclusive meals, fine wines, and beverages, passengers immersed themselves in unique Off Train Experiences as the train wound its way across Australia from coast to coast,” Journey Beyond executive GM of rail David Donald said.

Among the standout experiences are visits to Kalgoorlie, the Nullarbor, the Barossa Valley, Broken Hill and the Blue Mountains. Guests can try their hand at gold panning and art workshops and enjoy fine dining at the historic Seppeltsfield Estate in the Barossa Valley.

“What is set to become a signature experience is the exclusive dinner for guests at Seppeltsfield Estate, showcasing the flavours and wines of the Barossa Valley in South Australia,” Journey Beyond executive GM of sales and partnerships Alicia Triggs said.

“We’ve put together an amazing array of Off Train Experiences for your clients as they traverse the country from west to east, with stand-out new experiences allowing guests to go further.”
