Edited by Travel Weekly

Inside Travel Group has donated $23,383 to Camp Quality, a charity dedicated to bringing positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer.

This significant contribution forms part of Inside Travel Group’s ‘Giving Back’ commitment.

“This is our first major donation as a B Corp and is part of our Giving Back commitment to support charities that help children and families in difficult circumstances,” Inside Travel Group managing director for Australia, Tim Oakes, said.

Camp Quality CEO Deborah Thomas with Inside Travel Group Managing Director for Australia, Tim Oakes.

“Our donation is the result of our success in 2023, looking after thousands of customers taking our ‘Cultural Adventure’ trips across Japan and Asia.

“We are thankful to be in a position that enables us to make a significant contribution and positive impact on the lives of families who really deserve a break.”

Camp Quality’s programs include hospital support, age-appropriate education and camps, fun days and family retreats that provide families with a break from cancer to reconnect and build a supportive community.

Camp Quality CEO Deborah Thomas said the support of Inside Travel Group has been invaluable in making a positive impact on the lives of kids and families facing the trauma of a cancer diagnosis.

“For over 40 years, Camp Quality has improved the quality of life for kids impacted by cancer by helping families build optimism and resilience through community, education, and a break from cancer at one of our camps or retreats,” Thomas said.

“With Inside Travel Group’s support, we’re able to provide even more Camp Quality children and their families with much-need positivity, laughter and fun through our Programs and Services including Family Getaways, Family Camps, Kids’ Camps and our Family Fun Days.

“Their generosity directly translates into moments of joy for children and their families – brightening up their world during a time that can be incredibly challenging.”

Inside Travel Group Managing Director for Australia, Tim Oakes with Camp Quality CEO Deborah Thomas and the massive cheque.

Camp Quality mum, of a three-year-old Ashton who was diagnosed with leukaemia said that Camp Quality’s support has not only brought moments of joy and laughter but has also provided hope during an overwhelming time.

“Camp Quality has allowed us to create positive memories as a family away from the hospital and lets us just smile and have fun in a welcoming and supportive community alongside other families,” Natasha said.

“They provide optimism for the children enduring treatment as well as children who have finished treatment, along with their siblings and families.”

Every donation towards Camp Quality makes a difference and helps change the story even more kids and families going through the trauma of a cancer diagnosis.
