What better way to start the weekend than by contemplating the cocktail choices now available, including a first interactive cocktail, at Dean & Nancy’s on 22 at A by Adina Sydney.

Drawing upon the idea of a journey beyond reality, World of Dreams, features 14 deliciously creative cocktails including Dean & Nancy’s the interactive The Ayahuasca Daisy ($28) containing tequila, honeydew and apricot tea, berries and Montenegro Amaro – which comes complete with 3D glasses to create a sensory, dreamlike experience.

Restaurant and bar manager Stefano Filardi says the 3D experience of the Margarita-style Ayahuasca Daisy is connected back to an illustration on the menu as a little surprise and delight moment for guests.

Without a doubt, World of Dreams pays homage to Dean & Nancy’s belief that the best experiences rise above the mundane.

“The World of Dreams cocktail experience awakens the dreamer with every sip,” Stefano said. “Each cocktail is crafted to evoke wonder, mystery, and the desire to explore and enjoy the uncharted territories of your imagination.”

The Ayahuasca Daisy – Patrón Silver Tequila, Berries, Honeydew & Apricot Tea, Montenegro, Citrus.

In contrast to The Ayahuasca Daisy, the Velvet Venom Milk Punch ($29) is served in a glass shaped sea urchin. Beneath the spiky exterior, the milk punch features Flor de Caña 12yo Rum infused with matcha, toasted rice, coconut, almond and vanilla to evoke a tropical sweetness. The flavours of this cocktail slowly unfold like a hidden treasure found by those willing to look deeper.

The Hanami Bellini ($28) is inspired by the beauty of cherry blossoms and the fleeting nature of dreams. This light, sparkling, and sweet cocktail brings together Roku Gin, Amaretto Disaronno, peach, Sakura Vermouth, orange and sparkling wine to give off floral notes and a lasting impression.

The Bubble Dream Spritz ($27) takes its inspiration from bubbles being the doorways to possibilities. Here, Altamura Vodka is blended with Aperol, Rooibos tea, passionfruit and vanilla to give off a fruity flavour profile. While the Lotus Old Fashioned ($35), made of Dalmore 12yo Scotch Whisky and a hint of cashew, muscovado sugar and pepper berry, is reminiscent of a classic Old-Fashioned drink, so the lines between now and then blur.

World of Dreams was developed in collaboration with the creative minds behind some of the world’s best bars – Dean & Nancy on 22 named No. 201 in World’s Top 500 Bars and Maybe Sammy came No. 26 in the World’s 50 Best Bars. The team also engaged with Sydney artist Sue Cadzow, who has drawn upon her imagination to add context and whimsical illustrations of each signature cocktail in the new menu.

For those who want to enter the World of Dreams and sleep over, A by Adina Sydney has curated an overnight package for cocktail lovers. Book overnight accommodation to receive a $100 credit to spend at Dean & Nancy on 22, where a guaranteed table reservation awaits. Plus, enjoy a 1pm late check-out and take home a boxed Maybe Sammy 100ml cocktail trio pack.
