The Tourism Press Award, a new award by the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) has been launched to recognise the best tourism video of the year.

The award will be judged by an international panel of travel journalists and be presented at the World Tourism Film Awards in Valencia this November.

The award celebrates the powerful synergy between tourism and journalism, highlighting exceptional storytelling and cinematography in the tourism industry.

The inaugural competition features 66 tourism videos from 23 countries with more than 80 travel journalists from leading media outlets worldwide deciding on a winner

Each entry will also be part of the CIFFT Circuit, a global competition for tourism videos and campaigns supported by the UN Tourism (UNWTO) and the European Travel Commission (ETC), alongside other institutions.

“This initiative marks a significant milestone in CIFFT’s history,” CIFFT director Alexander V. Kammel said.

“We are forging a unique convergence between the journalistic community, the audio-visual sector, and tourism players, all in celebration of outstanding storytelling. This award reaffirms our commitment to driving innovation and excellence in tourism promotion.”
