Edited by Travel Weekly

Intrepid Travel has appointed Megan Lowe as the new head of partnerships for Australia and New Zealand.

Lowe will oversee Intrepid’s partnerships across the ANZ region, working to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and partners.

“I’m excited to join a company that is purpose-led and stepping into a role that focuses on people and partnerships,” said Lowe.

With more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry, Lowe previously held senior roles at Flight Centre Travel Group in both retail and wholesale.

She joins Intrepid at a pivotal moment, stepping into the role formerly held by Yvette Thompson, who has recently been promoted to general manager sales & marketing ANZ.

“Having worked with Megan over the years, I’ve always admired her professionalism and positive outlook. I’m thrilled to welcome her to Intrepid,” Thompson said.

At the time of leaving Flight Centre Lowe said: “Over nearly 25 years (more than half my life), leaving my FCTG Family leaves me with mixed emotions. Gratitude mostly, for:

  • the opportunities I have had to learn and grow
  • the amazing people I have worked with and the friends I have made along the way
  • the ability to experience so many amazing destinations
  • the flexibility with my working hours
  • all the fun at conferences, events, buzz nights, balls and general day to day in the office.

“For all of this, I will continue to hold FCTG close to my heart.

“I am incredibly excited for the future. My amazing journey with FCTG ends and another starts.”
