European touring specialist Albatross Tours has appointed James Hewlett as its new director of marketing.

“James’ appointment is so exciting for Albatross Tours, completing our Australian executive team,” Albatross Tours managing director Shelley Poten said.

“James’ exceptional calibre, impeccable reputation, and value-alignment with Albatross positions him perfectly to direct our marketing strategy.”

“Our Australian and UK teams are delighted to be working with him in his new, permanent capacity as director of marketing.”

James has held various senior roles in both the United Kingdom and Australia, heading up marketing for Collette, volunteering on the Executive team at Visit USA, plus marketing leadership roles at Wendy Wu Tours and Titan Travel, before founding Endurance Marketing & Consulting in November.

In recent months he has worked with ATIA and this is set to continue ahead of ATIA’s Beyond Borders Travel Summit on 25 October.

James has also recently completed his Australian Institute of Company Directors accreditation, is a Mark Ritson Mini MBA (Marketing) Alumni, and holds a Masters in Tourism Management from the University of Surrey where he mentors final-year undergraduates.
