Jetstar launches Sunny Coast sale with fares cheaper than a tank of petrol

Aussies from Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney are being encouraged to soak up the sun and ‘walk on sunshine’ with Jetstar’s Sunshine Coast sale.

In partnership with Visit Sunshine Coast, the low-cost carrier’s latest sale is marketing Sunshine Coast sale fares for 4 days, or until sold out prior.

Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Andrew Brodie said: “It’s great to be partnering with Jetstar to encourage travel directly into our region.

“In June this year, Jetstar brought the most passengers of any airline, in and out of our airport.

“This partnership will encourage travellers to book a trip outside of peak travel periods and will support our tourism industry within the wider catchment area.

“With direct connections from Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, I would encourage our southern friends to take advantage of these amazing one-way fares, all of which could be cheaper than the cost of filling your car with a tank of petrol right now.

“I would also urge locals to take advantage of these fares to explore the southern states. Whether it’s Sydney’s calendar of events, the football in Melbourne or Adelaide’s wineries, these airfares are great value”.

Visit Sunshine Coast CEO Matt Stoeckel said the campaign provided a fantastic incentive for travellers to book a Sunshine Coast escape.

“With prices from as little as $60 these sales fares will have travellers ‘walking on sunshine’,” he said.

“The promotion is a big step towards getting our interstate markets back to where they were before the pandemic.

“Demand for the Sunshine Coast continues to be strong, and this promotion is timed to capitalise on this demand and fill some needs periods in our calendar.”

The sale started today and will end at 11:59pm 12 August. Sydney-Sunshine Coast flights are going for $60, Melbourne-Sunshine Coast flights are $101, and Adelaide-Sunshine Coast flights are $87.
