Karl Schubert departs Singapore Airlines after 8 years

Singapore Airlines Regional Manager Public Affairs & Government Relations Karl Schubert has left the airline after nearly 8 years.

In a statement, Schubert thanked the airline for the opportunities he had been afforded and wished the company every success in the future.

“I have enjoyed close to eight amazing years working for the best airline in the world, but the time has come to explore a new opportunity,” Schubert said.

“Since starting at SIA in 2015, I have been privileged to have worked with some amazing journalists, content creators and outlets and I am sincerely grateful for the support that has
been shown to me and SIA over the years.”

The Company has begun the search for a replacement.

Senior Public Affairs Executive, Mrs Erin Fletcher, will assume the role of main contact for all media enquiries in the south-west Pacific for the airline, until a replacement is confirmed.

Its understood Schubert is moving to Beijing Jingeng Energy International (Australia) as Head of Corporate Affairs & Investor Relations.
