Klook set to hold inaugural Partner Awards event in Sydney
Edited by Travel Weekly

Travel activities and experiences booking platform, Klook, is set to hold its inaugural Partner Awards event in Sydney next Wednesday, 12 February, honouring its top-performing and best-loved merchant partners.

To be held at Sydney’s Bar Ombre, the award categories include Klook Salute (best partnership award); Kustomer Service (best customer experience); Klookovator (innovative brand or product); Joy Sparker (based on reviews); What’s Klooking (the rising star); and a Sustainability Award. Award partners will also be invited to hop aboard a special Klook Big Bus for a nighttime tour of the city’s landmarks.

“These new awards will give us a chance to recognise our amazing partners and merchants across Australia and New Zealand who help make Klook what it is – one of the fastest-growing travel booking platforms here and across the world,” Klook’s managing director of Oceania, UK and The Americas, Henry Hooper, said.

“We’ve been proud to be able to help promote a range of experiences to new audiences internationally and domestically for the past seven years, and we can’t wait to pay it back and celebrate the shared success.”

Klook was launched in Australia & New Zealand in 2018 with just 85 local operators. Since then, the fast-growing brand has attracted over 1000 merchants. The Klook platform receives over 70 million monthly visitors and is growing, with its recent expansion into the USA exposing experience providers to an even bigger global audience.

“Klook is Merlin’s largest Asia Pacific inbound digital online sales partner and has played a crucial role to our international recovery here in Australia and globally – in particular Asia,” Merlin Entertainment, trade sales director, Shannon Bailey, said.

“Our global strategic partnership has seen Klook deliver 100 per cent year-on-year growth for our Sydney attractions including SEA LIFE and Sydney Tower which is a testament to the strength of the partnership.”

As well as access to its global user base, Klook also offers its partners high-performance media, social media and influencer marketing campaigns and effective above-the-line advertising partnerships across its comprehensive marketing channels, helping partners reach a wide audience.
