Las Vegas is the place to be in 2023! Here’s why

Members of the travel industry recently attended a special Travel Las Vegas event in Sydney, part of a broader ‘visit USA expo’ and that was occurring the same day.

Cocktails and canapés were enjoyed throughout the afternoon as multiple speakers presented a range of new happenings in sin city.

Travel Nevada’s director of public relations, Molly Castano summed up what Vegas is all about, “with world-class dining, entertainment and outdoor experiences, Las Vegas has something for everyone, and the options expand far beyond the casino floor.

“The destination is constantly evolving and diversifying, so no matter if it’s your first visit or your tenth, there is always something new to experience.

For the first time Las Vegas will host the Formula 1 in November, The F1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place on a 3.8-mile track and will weave down the Las Vegas Strip and past world-famous landmarks at speed of up to 212 mph.

“We are also excited for the MSG Sphere to open this Fall,” Castano, said.

“The MSG Sphere at The Venetian will be a multi-function venue that will host a wide variety of programming, including experiences, concert residencies and marquee events.

“The Sphere will feature the world’s highest resolution LED screen and 4D multi-sensory technologies such as immersive seating, evocative scents and changing temperatures, to take storytelling to the next level,” Castano said.

Travel Weekly also asked Castano, “If you could do only three things in Las Vegas, what would they be?”

  1. A show! On any given night, Las Vegas has a robust line-up of headliners and production shows (including seven Cirque du Soleil productions), and there’s something for everyone.
  2. The sights of the Strip. The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, The High Roller and the Bellagio Fountains are not to be missed.
  3. The great outdoors. The Grand Canyon is an easy helicopter ride away, Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon offer spectacular views and hiking trails.
