Edited by Travel Weekly

LATAM, South America’s largest airline, has partnered with The Chilean Australian Association to present Chile Sentido, a unique event that celebrates Chilean culture in Australia.

Starting today until 10 November 2024, Comber Street Studios in Paddington, Sydney, will be transformed into a space where art and emotion intertwine, creating a multi-sensory experience that deeply connects with the roots and sentiments of the Chilean culture.

Through sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch, renowned Chilean artists living in Australia will share their experiences, nostalgia and the joys of life far from their homeland.

What visitors can expect from Chile Sentido:

  • Sight – Guests can immerse themselves in visual works that capture the essence of Chile, filled with colours, shares, and memories.
  • Sound – They can also experience auditory that transports them to the soundscapes of Chile.
  • Smell – Aromas that evoke Chilean culture.
  • Touch – Guests can physically connect with Chilean culture through interactive works that invite them to touch and feel.

The main event of the exhibition is on Saturday 9 November, where the Day of the Chilean Fauna will be celebrated with a Build Your Own Paper Animal workshop. Visitors will be invited to dive into the vibrant world of Chile’s iconic fauna and explore the chinchilla, chucao, humpback whale and Darwin’s frog.

The hands-on experience, designed by Eggpicnic and led by Polly Cevallos, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute Australia, invites participants to learn about these animals’ habitats and behaviours while crafting their own paper creations.
