Magellan network members gather in Adelaide to celebrate annual conference

Magellan Travel members gathered in Adelaide for its annual 2024 conference, a three-day event to showcase and celebrate the Magellan network and its valued members.

The conference took place at the MGallery Playford Hotel with the theme “Belong”, following a welcome dinner and experience at the Penfolds Magill Estate. The theme emphasises identity, unity, capability and belonging within the Magellan network.

Helloworld Travel CEO, Andrew Burnes AO, opened the conference highlighting the importance of the Magellan network and the growing number of opportunities available to members. He also discussed the new partnership with Ensemble and the ongoing value of the travel agency channel for leisure and corporate travel.

Valued cruise, airline, land, tour, and insurance preferred partners provided presentations on several topic-focused and informative panel discussions. Senior executives from Helloworld Travel Group also attended, addressing their respective divisions of Air Tickets, VIVA Holidays, ReadyRooms, Cruiseco, Commercial and Marketing.

Magellan general manager, Iain Summers, wrapped up the conference with key industry insights on unique products, sustainability, traveller trends, and emerging technologies.

To conclude the event, members were treated to a wine tasting experience at the d’Arenberg Cube, followed by an exclusive tour of the Salvador Dali exhibition. The evening finished with dinner at the Adelaide’s Centre of Immersive Light and Art (ILA).

Conference members that attended, commented: “Excellent conference”, “nothing but positivity across the group”, “it’s been wonderful to experience the power and unity of the Magellan members,” and “It was great to catch up with all my Magellan mates again, thank you!”.
