Magellan signs snazzy new partnership

Magellan Travel Group, Australia’s most awarded network for independent high-end leisure and corporate travel agents has today announced a new and exclusive partnership with Signature Travel Network.

The Signature Travel Network International Affiliates program will provide all Magellan members with access to exclusive privileges for their customers at more than 1,000 different hotels, resorts, lodges and spas around the globe.

In addition, the program offers access to nearly 100 destination specialists in 113 countries on six continents and technology solutions including Pocket Travel Consultant powered by Axus, a mobile itinerary application.

Signature Travel Network is a member-owned travel cooperative headquartered in Marina del Rey, California, with a regional office in New York. The network was established in 1956, and today includes more than 200 member agencies.

Signature’s sole objective is to serve the needs of their agency members.

Alex Sharpe, Signature’s President and CEO said, “Signature is excited about this new partnership with Magellan. When we look for new agency members, we look for agencies that are a good fit for our culture.

“Like Magellan Travel Group, Signature stands behind their member agencies supporting them in every way to assure their success.”

The new partnership was announced to the Magellan members this morning at their National Conference in Perth by Managing Director, Andrew Macfarlane who said, “There was a strong appetite amongst our high-end Leisure members for a luxury affinity program.”

“We are excited to partner with Signature Travel Network, a global leader in luxury affinity and furthermore, to offer these benefits to our members included in the current Magellan member fee.

“This makes Magellan an even better choice than ever for Australia’s leading Independent Agents.

“No longer will they need to pay to be part of a buying group then pay again to participate in an expensive luxury affinity program. Magellan will be a one-stop-shop for both.

“And exclusive value-adds for our Members’ customers will further differentiate our Agents from the next one down the road,” he added.
